Decorate the room with banners, balloons and anything else you wish to make it look more exciting. You could also consider buying a pack of tea bags that include range of flavours, like you would find if you went out for an afternoon tea.

4. Cocktail making

If all participants are over 18, cocktail making is a fun activity to do for someones birthday. There are so many kits you can buy online that provide you with all the high-quality ingredients and recipe booklets. This is perfect as everyone can get involved in helping to make them. Just put some music on in the background and start making your favourite cocktails!

5. Movie night

A more relaxed option is to have a cosy movie night. Start by picking out some of the birthday persons favourite films to watch. You can even make a fort out of cushions and blankets to make things extra cosy. As well as putting together a selection of snack and drinks to place within the fort. If you have a projector you can use that, however it's not essential, an ordinary TV works perfectly fine too.

These are just some of the ways to make having to stay at home on a birthday more exciting. Having a plan for the day will help to make the birthday person feel that despite the circumstances people still want to celebrate with them.
